BEFIT4AKHIRAH

INSPIRATION. MOTIVATION. DEDICATION

MISSION

BE STRONG, BE FIT, BEFIT4AKHIRAH

At BeFit4Akhirah, women will be inspired, motivated, and dedicated to getting active, staying fit, and being strong

with a purpose

The mission is to live a healthy lifestyle with the purpose of building families, communities, and ummah for the sake of Allah SWT and for the sake of building our Akhirah,

the eternal home.

VISION

A STRONGER, MORE CONFIDENT, AND HOPEFUL UMMAH

The vision of BeFit4Akhirah is to work with Muslim communities, schools, health professionals, nonprofit organizations, & families to promote a holistic healthy lifestyle within the teachings of Islam. The vision is to help women, families, and especially the youth to be strong mentally, spiritually, and physically. To create a welcoming environment for women of all ages and to the youth to speak up their mental health, spiritual health, and physical health without judgment and without fear.

My personal vision is to unite families, communities, and the ummah through fitness, through inspiration, and through remembering Allah SWT and Akhirah. I want to remind myself first foremost that it is okay to slip off and make mistakes, and that Allah SWT is ALWAYS waiting for us to come back to HIM through remembering our purpose in life, through remembering His Mercy, and fear His Punishment, and to remember that this life is temporary, and we will all return to Our Lord.

WHAT IS BEFIT4AKHIRAH AND

HOW DID IT ALL START OUT?

WHAT IS BEFIT4AKHIRAH?

Akhirah is an Arabic word for the afterlife, judgment day. In Islam, there are 6 pillars (articles) of faith, and the belief in judgment day is one of the pillars. Therefore, BeFit4Akhirah is fit and healthy for the akhirah, to use the body to pray, to fast, to help each other, to be healthy spiritually, mentally, and physically.

HOW DID IT ALL START?

BeFit4Akhirah all started out with an idea & a loss.

The loss of my grandmother in Spring 2014 in Damascus, Syria which has touched me personally and changed my life forever. And the idea of listening to Islamic lectures called “Prophetic Dynasty” by Wisam Sharieff. I was inspired by stories of all our prophets and their journey in calling people toward Allah and the Last Day. After my grandmother passed away, it hit me hard and was a great reminder that this life is temporary and that I am going to die too eventually one day.

So it was a reminder for myself to get up on my feet and do something useful with my life and to serve Allah SWT and Islam more as this life will be a witness for me in my graveyard where judgment begins.

SUNNAH

AS OUR PROPHET MOHAMMAD PEACE BE UPON HIM REMINDED US:

Abu Hurairah narrated that : Messenger of Allah said: “Indeed the first of what will be asked about on the Day of Judgment – meaning the slave (of Allah) being questioned about the favors – is that it will be said to him: ‘Did We not make your body, health, and give you of cool water to drink?’”

Sahih (Darussalam) Vol.5, Book 44, Hadith 3358

“There are The Prophet (ï·º) said,Narrated Ibn `Abbas: two blessings which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good.”

Sahih al-Bukhari 6412
